The recent increase in consumer awareness of GMO foods has had some disturbing results as research indicates consumers are beginning to choose non-GMO over organic and some manufacturers are already promoting products as “non-GMO without the organic price tag.” NCG continues to believe that certified organic products are the gold standard for consumers and encourage our co-ops to help educate consumers on the benefits of organic. We’ve recently posted an informative article on this topic on our consumer website and encourage you to share it via social media. Contact Mari Roseman if you’d like to reprint the article in your newsletter or other co-op materials.
