In anticipation of two upcoming GMO ballot initiatives in Oregon and Colorado (see below) NCG has updated our Toolkits for States with GMO Labeling Initiatives. Toolkits include customizable, Co+op, stronger together branded templates for posters, postcards, flyers, table tents, register images, and web banners as well as newsletter copy, staff FAQs, and an overview. Toolkits are only useful for co-ops in states that will vote on GMO labeling this fall.
On July 2, the Oregon Right to Know campaign delivered 155,611 signatures to their Secretary of State, nearly twice the number required to qualify a GMO labeling measure for the November ballot. Colorado is also considering a GMO ballot initiative and has until Aug 4 to gain enough signatures to get it on the November ballot.
