Community Contributions

Since co-ops exist to serve owners, it’s natural for co-ops to give back to their communities. Co-ops’ support for community happens in a variety of ways, from in-kind and financial donations to fundraising to volunteerism. This connection to community not only builds loyalty, consumers also view it as a point of difference. As many of these activities happen “behind the scenes,” it is important for co-ops to help consumers see the many ways they are directly supporting the health and vitality of their local communities.
