Program Overview
NCG’s Equipment Purchase Program provides member co-ops the opportunity to purchase store equipment from UNFI with extended payment terms. The special equipment purchase agreement (EPA) between the co-op and UNFI grants extended payment terms and an NCG payment guarantee. As part of this agreement, NCG also reviews the co-op’s equipment selection, bringing you the peace of mind that your order has been reviewed by a knowledgeable third party before the order is finalized.
Members may also choose to purchase equipment directly from UNFI or another source without participation in this program but would not have access to the extended payment terms, financial guarantee by NCG, or the equipment selection review by NCG.

- Offers extended payment terms on your large UNFI equipment orders. (This program is not applicable or economical for small equipment orders of less than $100,000.)
- Backs your UNFI equipment purchase with an NCG payment guarantee.
- Makes available NCG support for equipment selection to ensure you get the right equipment for your situation.
Participation Requirements
- Active, current member of NCG in compliance with all terms of NCG’s membership agreement. NCG designated representatives can access the membership agreement here.
- Participating member co-ops must execute an equipment purchase agreement that documents the maximum allowed equipment purchase price and repayment terms.
- UNFI is willing to extend payment terms on EPA purchases based on NCG’s guarantee and security of a lien on purchased equipment. Therefore, member co-ops wishing to participate in this program must go through an NCG risk approval process prior to purchasing equipment.
