Ground Beef Tracking

USDA has released the amended final rule on the requirement to maintain records for ground beef products at official establishments and retail grocery stores. The regulation (9 CFR 320.1(b) (4) (i)) will require retailers to keep a grinding log that is held for review for no less than 2 years. The amended rule was finalized by the USDA in December 2015, and enforcement begins in June 2016.
