NCG Co-op Weekly Sales Trends

NCG collects weekly sales and customer count data from all co-ops and uses it to monitor current trends. Currently, we post reports on a monthly basis.

How NCG Collects the Data

Each Monday, designated weekly sales contacts at each co-op receive a reminder e-mail link to the weekly sales reporting page in CoMetrics, where they simply enter their prior week’s total sales and customer count by store. All designated weekly sales contacts are assigned unique CoMetrics login credentials, so we ask that you please keep your co-op’s contacts current. In CoMetrics, you can view your historical weekly data, and edit submissions that are less than one month old. If you need to edit an older submission, or if you need help with accessing CoMetrics, please reach out to us at coop.support@ncg.coop.

When to Submit Your Sales Figures

We request that co-ops submit this data for the prior week on Mondays or as early in the week as feasible. Co-ops can report sales for weeks ending on Saturday or Sunday, or as their accounting periods are set up.

Receiving timely data is instrumental to our understanding of how co-ops are performing and identifying stores in need of additional support. NCG compares SPINS center store sales trends with your total store trends to help us evaluate the impact of our promotional programs. Additionally, your ability to compare these results in your store with regional and national trends each month will help you respond more quickly to any changes in your customer shopping patterns and market.
