NCG Participation Reports

NCG generates annual Participation Reports to help co-op boards of directors learn about their co-op’s relationship with NCG and the value member co-ops get through participation in NCG programs. These reports include:

  • The events and conferences your co-op participated in during the previous year
  • The programs your co-op participated in during the previous year
  • An estimate of the savings your co-op received by participating in the UNFI contract based on the co-op’s purchase volume over the previous year
  • The cumulative amount of patronage paid in cash to your co-op through the end of the previous year
  • The base equity investment made by your co-op at the end of the previous year
  • The dues paid by your co-op the previous year
  • New in 2024: The amount on deposit at the end of the previous year for your co-op in NCG’s JLF fund, and the percentage of your co-op’s payables at terms that the deposit represents

We also present five years of performance trends for each co-op in eight key financial indicators and provide boards with a summary of financial health based on that performance.

Designated Representatives (DRs) from each co-op are provided with a draft Participation Report to review for inaccuracies, before the final report is sent to DRs and the co-op’s board chair. We encourage DRs to review final reports with boards at board meetings.

Your resource manager or regional director is available to answer questions about Participation Reports.
