Plastic Chemicals in Food Products

In January 2024, Consumer Reports released the results of a study that measured levels of plastic chemicals phthalates (tha-lates) and bisphenols (bis-fuh-naals) in 85 food products, including 67 retail grocery items. A handful of the products are ones that many co-ops carry. NCG has put together resources to assist co-op staff in answering customer questions on this topic.
