A Guide to NCG Marketing Resources

NCG offers thousands of marketing and promotions assets for co-ops to use. This is a good thing, but wading through all those files to find what you need can be challenging. Here are our top five tips for finding what you need:

1. Search is your friend

If you’re hunting for information on an event or program, you’ll want to look on NCG.coop first. By using the search function and entering program or event names, like “Marketing Matters” or “Co+op Basics”, you can typically find what you need.

NCG.coop is also where you’ll find print-ready and time-sensitive materials to support Co+op Deals and Co+op Basics. Co-op staff in a variety of roles (not just marketing) need to access these tools, like sign templates accessible without design software and print-ready posters for big displays.

2. Check the catalogs

If you’re looking for a specific marketing asset, it’s best to look in NCG’s catalogs. You can browse to see what is available and use a catalog’s live links to navigate directly to the files you need. All materials to support price promotions (Co+op Deals, Co+op Basics, Fresh Deals, Flash Sale) are in the Promotional Materials Catalog. All other marketing materials are found in the Marketing Materials Catalog.

3. Visit the Co+op Resources Dropbox

Any marketing asset that isn’t stored on NCG.coop will be found in the General Shared Co+op Dropbox. At over 19 gigabytes, this Dropbox is a treasure trove of helpful templates, graphics and design files. Within this Dropbox, marketing materials are organized by their program (e.g., Flash Sale or Inclusive Trade), their department (e.g., bulk signs or produce signs) and their format (e.g., billboard or newsletters).

4. Grocery.coop for content marketing

If you’re looking for recipes or articles to use, you can peruse NCG’s consumer website, grocery.coop. Options for sharing content include linking to grocery.coop, syndicating content to your own website, or republishing content with attribution to grocery.coop. Co-op marketing staff can log into grocery.coop with their NCG.coop credentials, allowing them to see which content is available for sharing.

5. Just ask

We understand that sometimes you need a little help. You might not know if a resource exists or what it is called. That’s okay! NCG marketing staff are happy to help you locate what you need.
