It all starts with an annual thematic calendar that incorporates trends data, food holidays and what’s seasonally available by region each month.
The calendar guides the content of the Co+op Deals flyer – including recipes, Fresh in the Deli, produce, cheese and lifestyle features. From here, consumer recipe cards, table tents, posters, end-cap headers and web-ready PDFs are created to help you support Co+op Deals promotions with demos, displays and online media. Similar resources support the bimonthly coupon books: newsletter copy, cover images and posters. And exclusive high-value new member coupons are offered quarterly to welcome your new owners.
To help co-ops plan ahead for seasonal, successful solutions-based promotions, NCG puts together the quarterly Promo Playbook. This provides merchandising suggestions that correspond with flyer content and highlights top-selling items. Monthly hot sheets supplement the playbook, and point out the highest-value deals each month so you can order and merchandise accordingly for maximum lift.
