Program Overview
NCG currently produces a number of email newsletter updates, targeted to different audiences, to communicate relevant and timely information about NCG programs and services and to keep our member co-ops up to date with industry trends.
Please note: These newsletters contain confidential information and should not be forwarded or shared with individuals outside of NCG co-ops.
What updates do we send out?
Here are the main updates produced by NCG, along with the contact types to which they are targeted:
DR Weekly Update
NCG’s weekly DR updates contain a collection of important information for DRs pertaining to NCG programs and services, biannual national meetings, regional activities and more. Weekly updates are designed to reduce the amount of communication received by DRs from NCG into one convenient and efficient weekly email.

Marketing Weekly Update
This update offers information about new and updated NCG programs and resources relevant to co-op marketing departments, as well as NCG advocacy and recall information.
- Contact types: Marketing, Member Services
Purchasing Weekly Update
This update offers important information and updates about NCG’s Co+op Deals, Co+op Basics and New Item Programs, as well as other promotions and purchasing department related items. Updates also frequently include product news and offers from NCG vendor partners, NCG advocacy updates, industry trends, and recall information.

Finance Bi-weekly Update
This update offers information about financial issues, tips for using Excel, links to relevant news and updates on NCG events of interest to finance staff.

Fresh Bi-weekly Update
This update offers fresh department seasonal recipes, trends, suggested promotional activities, food events and financial performance.

Operations Bi-weekly Update
This update offers useful resources, announcements about opportunities and deadlines, information about training opportunities, and links to relevant information on ncg.coop to store and operations managers.

People and Culture Monthly Update
This update offers information about People and Culture programs and services relevant to co-op human resources departments including registration openings, e-learning courses, learning tips, and more.

Retail Technology Monthly Update
This update offers information on NCG’s retail technology programs and pilots, educational webinars and training opportunities, as well as tips and articles of interest to co-op IT staff.

How to subscribe to a mailing list
Mailing lists for each of the updates are assembled according to NCG user contact types listed above. If you would like to be added to a mailing list, your DR can request a user update to add the relevant contact type(s) to your user account.
How to unsubscribe from a mailing list
To unsubscribe from an update, DRs must request the removal of the relevant contact type from a user’s account. Simply clicking the “unsubscribe” link at the bottom of an email update will only remove you from a list temporarily. You will automatically be added back onto the list until the contact type is removed from your NCG.coop user account.
