The 2022 Food Co-op Impact Report

NCG’s Food Co-op Impact Report documents the economic, social and environmental impact of food co-ops. Based on data collected from co-ops through Co+efficient, as well as co-ops’ collective purchasing power, it gives us a picture of the “average NCG food co-op” and helps to illuminate the benefits of cooperative business for industry partners, lawmakers, co-op shoppers and our communities.

Oshkosh Food Co-op Promotes Locally Sourced Eggs

Amid record price increases and supply shortages of eggs, co-ops’ creativity and adaptability have proven to be essential in retaining customers and fulfilling shopper needs. Oshkosh Food Co-op gained media attention when it took to social media to promote the price and availability of local eggs at the store.

Celebrating Co-op Success Stories in 2022

Viroqua Food Co+op Introduces Eat Local Bingo

Viroqua Food Co+op celebrated eating local with a local food celebration and an original Eat Local bingo game created by staff. Participants had a chance to win a branded a Kleen Kanteen and co-op gift card.

Mississippi Market Passes $1M in Round-up Program

Since 2015, Mississippi Market customers have made donations at the register to benefit local nonprofit organizations working primarily in the areas of food access, racial and social justice, and local food system support.
