Bioengineered (BE) Food Labeling

On December 20, 2018, USDA announced final regulations for the National Bioengineered Food Disclosure Standard. The mandatory compliance date is January 1, 2022. Because “bioengineered” and “BE” are the labeling terms mandated through these regulations, to reduce confusion we have also adopted this terminology to replace what was formerly referred to as “genetic engineering” or “GMO.”

Advocacy Partnerships

NCG’s advocacy activities include the support of other organizations through memberships and sponsorships.

Other Advocacy Issues

In addition to our priority issues of climate change and organics, NCG is sometimes able to provide resources pertaining to other advocacy issues.
