Program Overview
Co+op Deals is the centerpiece of NCG’s promotional programs, designed to leverage the buying power of our “virtual chain” to obtain outstanding pricing on top-selling items in grocery, wellness and nonfoods categories.
We negotiate a variety of ongoing trade support, including coupons and discounts and rebates for new item introductions as well as advertised and unadvertised promotions. NCG also provides materials for seasonal holidays/food events and a promotions playbook intended to assist co-op staff in planning integrated storewide promotions incorporating perimeter departments.
The Category Management Advisory Committee (CMAC) serves as a resource for input and feedback on NCG’s promotions programs and category management initiatives and your co-op’s designated Promotions Liaison is of critical importance to the successful implementation and ongoing execution of the Co+op Deals promotions program.
Co+op Deals Logo Usage
Member co-ops are required to follow specific guidelines for use of the Co+op Deals name and logo:
- The logo must be used in accordance with the Co+op brand standards
- Always use the logo on NCG-negotiated deals featured in the flyer or as in-store/on-shelf promotions
- Use the logo on Temporary Price Reductions (TPRs) only if the TPR is available to all customers and not just owners/members. Similarly, the logo may be used on deals not negotiated by NCG, provided they are available to all customers
- Do not use the logo on out of date items or items of questionable quality
- Do not modify the logo in any way (alteration of font, color or proportions are not permitted under Co+op brand standards)
